Balansoura ship

Alsafina Organization, in partnership with the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID), implemented the Belnasoura Ship project with the aim of promoting a culture of inclusion and shared citizenship among followers of different religions, and strengthening social cohesion in the village of Belnasoura.
The project focused on empowering youth to deeply understand themselves and their shared history, making them more prepared to overcome divisions and avoid conflicts. It provided them with a real-life experience of peaceful coexistence, practical tools for conflict resolution, and opportunities to build bridges of understanding, alongside activities for self-reflection and learning about others with a spirit of peace and mutual respect.
The project targeted youth from all Egyptian governorates, from Alexandria to Aswan, and successfully created safe dialogue spaces that contributed to fostering values of tolerance and cooperation.
Following the project’s success, Alsafina Organization was awarded First Place in the Dr. Ali El-Samman Award for Peaceful Coexistence between Religions by the Christian-Muslim Dialogue Center, in recognition of its tangible impact on the community.
